Each holiday season, The Salvation Army engages in the tradition of "staffing the kettles" to promote the plight of the needy in Eau Claire County. This practice is critical to The Salvation Army's cause, as the money it raises supports the organization’s programs for the rest of the year. Thanks to the generosity of thousands of Eau Claire County residents and businesses, The Salvation Army can continue to provide valuable programs such as emergency food assistance and vouchers for rent, utilities and clothing.

During the holidays children receive gifts through Toys for Tots. Clothing, food and other items are distributed to individuals and families. Senior citizens receive gifts and visits. The Salvation Army of Eau Claire County assists thousands of people during the holiday season.
